Yûichi Fukuda takes the helm as both director and screenwriter, with support from the original creator, Yuto Suzuki. Fukuda is well-known for his work on Hentai Kamen (2013), Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (2020), and Hentai Kamen: Abnormal Crisis (2016).

SAKAMOTO DAYS is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020, with 25 tankōbon volumes collected as of December 2025. The manga is published in English by Viz Media and the Manga Plus online platform.
The story follows Taro Sakamoto, an unbeatable legendary hitman who retired to live a quiet, ordinary life as a family man. However, his peaceful days are interrupted when former enemies and old associates return for revenge. Announced in May 2024, the anime adaptation is produced by TMS Entertainment. The series is directed by Masaki Watanabe, with scripts by Taku Kishimoto, character designs by Yō Moriyama, and a score composed by Yuki Hayashi.
The anime is scheduled to air on January 11, 2025, on TV Tokyo. It will run for two cours (quarters), with the second cour airing in July 2025.
