world.campusnesia.co.id - Jakarta - State-owned energy company PT Pertamina Patra Niaga officially adjusted the prices of its non-subsidized fuel products, Pertamax (RON 92) and Pertamax Green 95, effective Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
The policy introduces a significant price increase for motorists using higher-octane fuels, particularly in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) region. The price of Pertamax (RON 92) has risen from Rp12,300 to Rp16,250 per liter, while Pertamax Green 95 saw an increase from Rp12,900 to Rp17,000 per liter.
Meanwhile, Pertamina has kept the price of its top-tier non-subsidized fuel, Pertamax Turbo, steady at Rp20,750 per liter.
"The price adjustment is a necessary step to maintain fuel supply sustainability and distribution efficiency across the country, while closely aligning with global oil market dynamics," Pertamina Patra Niaga stated in an official release.
The corporate management also emphasized that prices may vary slightly across different provinces outside of Java due to variations in local fuel motor vehicle taxes (PBBKB).
Subsidized Fuel Prices Remain Unchanged
Amid concerns over the economic impact on lower-income households, the government confirmed that subsidized fuels will not experience any price hikes. Pertalite (RON 90) remains fixed at Rp10,000 per liter, and BioSolar (subsidized diesel) stays at Rp6.800 per liter.
Independent energy analysts note that while the steep rise in Pertamax might push some vehicle owners to switch back to subsidized Pertalite, keeping subsidized fuel prices stable is crucial for controlling inflation and maintaining public purchasing power in the near term.
